We’re just a day away from the official release of the upcoming Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2 release. But Google has already given us a sneak peek at what’s coming this year.

Before the official release on Oct 4, many details about the upcoming Google smartphone series and smartwatch had already leaked. Here our pivot point will be the teaser Google released for the Pixel 8, 8 pro, and Watch 2 series.

Pixel 8 and 8 Pro teaser:

Google is no longer keeping it a secret. After several leaks and teasers, we finally have an official glimpse of the Pixel 8, 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2. A new video preview gives us a clear view of the phones from different angles, and the Google Store now has a landing page showcasing these phones and the Pixel Watch 2.

Pixel 8 and 8 Pro display

The video displays the phones flying into view and spinning around, but it doesn’t give us a clear view of the front. We anticipate that the front will mostly consist of the screen, so you’re not missing out on too much. However, it’s possible that Google is not revealing all the details and waiting to unveil them at its mega Event.

When it comes to the back of these phones, they are almost similar to the rest of the pixel family. You can spot the large camera module and a single unified window housing all three main sensors on the Pixel 8 Pro.

Pixel 8 Pro back

The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro phones have a more curved design compared to their earlier versions, with rounded corners that smoothly merge into the tapered screen. The Pixel 8 is noticeably smaller than the 8 Pro, confirming earlier leaks that hinted at the size difference between these models increasing. Currently, we don’t have many top-notch, smaller-sized Android phones available in the market. ASUS has come up with one of the few good choices with the Zenfone 10. According to earlier reports, Google plans to improve its update support for these phones to match what Samsung offers.

At the same time, if you visit the Google Store’s landing page, you’ll see a few more pictures of the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. However, these are still focused on the back of the phones.

Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel leaks:

According to leaks, it seems the Pixel 8 Pro will keep the same 6.7-inch screen as the Pixel 7 Pro. Meanwhile, the regular Pixel 8 is likely to have a slightly smaller display than the previous version, coming in at 6.17 inches instead of 6.3 inches.

A leaked specification sheet, found by leaker Kamila Wojciechowska, suggests that the Pixel 8 Pro might have an improved set of rear cameras. These include a 50MP wide lens, a 48MP ultrawide lens with Macro Focus, and a 48MP camera with a 5x telephoto lens.

On another note, there are rumors about the regular Pixel 8. It’s said to have a 50MP main rear camera, along with a 12MP ultrawide lens that can do Macro Focus. According to leaks, both phones will feature a 10.5MP front-facing camera. This camera is a bit lower than the 10.8MP selfie camera found in the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.

The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro might also include staggered HDR, a technique that can make images look clearer. They may also come with DSLR-like controls. Some leaked ads suggest that the Pixel 8 series will have AI-powered photo editing features, including something called Magic Editor.

The spec sheet also states that both phones will run on Google’s new Tensor G3 chip. The Pixel 8 will feature 8GB RAM, meanwhile the Pixel 8 Pro will feature 12GB. Additionally, they will also feature a 120Hz refreshing rate, which is much better than the previous 90Hz.

Google Pixel Watch 2 sneak peek:

Google didn’t just give a teaser of the Pixel 8, they also shared a preview of the Pixel Watch 2. In the teaser, you can catch a glimpse of the Pixel Watch 2’s new flatter crown that’s positioned on the watch’s side. But at the device’s bottom, there’s a fresh sensor array, which might suggest they’re adding more health-tracking features.

Apart from the visual appearance, the sneak peek doesn’t brief anything about the Pixel watch 2 series.

Google Pixel Watch 2 leaks:

According to91mobiles, the Pixel Watch 2 might incorporate certain features found in Google’s Fitbit fitness trackers. This could involve a new heart rate tracker that utilizes Fitbit’s multi-path heart rate sensor. It checks your heart rate in various methods and locations.

91mobiles has also mentioned some additional features. These include the watch’s ability to automatically recognize new exercises like running and outdoor cycling. There’s also a new Safety Check option that allows you to set a timer if you ever feel you’re in an unsafe situation.

Once the timer ends, the watch will prompt you to confirm if you’re okay or if you want it to send your location to emergency services. If you don’t reply, it will automatically share your location with your emergency contacts.

The upcoming Pixel Watch 2 is expected to come with some improvements. It might have a more powerful Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor and include an ultra-wideband chip.

Apart from this, the battery life will remain up to 24 hours, as we have seen in the watch 1. However, the design will mostly be unchanged, except for a rumored switch to an all-aluminum chassis.

Cost of upcoming Pixel Gadgets:

We don’t have the pricing details for the Pixel Watch 2 yet, so we can’t say if it will be pricier than the original $350 Pixel Watch. There are rumors that the Pixel Watch 2 will be available in gold, black, or silver colors.

On the other hand, there are rumors going around that the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro might become more expensive. It’s been reported that the Pixel 8 could be priced at $699, up from the $599 of the Pixel 7, while the Pixel 8 Pro may cost $999, up from the $899 of the Pixel 7 Pro.
