noorish

Asus Zenfone 10;

Asus has currently unveiled his recent compact but powerful mobile phone called Asus Zenfone 10. The phone seems to be more comfortable and free of mistakes that we have previously seen in Zenfone 9 series. The whopping device is currently not available worldwide, but in 3rd quarter of earth. Here, are some major Asus Zenfone 10 specs and features for you.

Design and Display

Size (most compact but still powerful phone):

These days, it’s common for smaller phones to come with less impressive specs. This is because high-quality components often require more physical space. While many phone makers are sacrificing features like headphone jacks, Asus has done something remarkable with the Zenfone 10. They’ve managed to pack flagship features in a mini size, creating a compact and powerful phone. The credit purely goes to their engineering power.

The Zenfone 10 comes in various colors like red, white, blue, black, and green. I must say, all colors look pretty appealing, especially that blue one. The back of the phone is made from a bio-based plastic with a delightful texture, almost resembling construction paper. It might not give that premium glass-backed phone vibes, however, it is more robust and less likely to break.

One of the major benefits of the Zenfone 10 is how easily you can approach the whole display with one hand making it a compact but powerful phone. Its user-friendly and handy design allows you to conveniently interrogate your phone with a single thumb. Even the swipeable “ZenTouch” button on the right side, which acts as a fingerprint sensor, effortlessly pulls down the notification shade. This phone truly excels in delivering a convenient one-handed experience. If I were to find a small fault, it’s that occasionally, I accidentally trigger the notification shade with my palm when using the phone with one hand.

The device offers flagship features in mini size truly shine, making it the most compact but still powerful phone** you can find.

Display:

Let’s talk about the display on the Asus Zenphone 10. It features a 5.92-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel that gives different colors making the visual fantastic. Although I cannot tell you the exact figure of the brightness rating, you can see bright images as well as read text messages easily even on a hot sunny day. So, it does its job nicely.

The screen refreshing rate is more impressive here. You have the customized option to switch it between 60 and 120Hz, or you can go for less i.e.  60, 90, or 120Hz. The display can even go up to 144Hz, perfect for gaming. Alternatively, you can adjust it according to your needs. Though the smoothness of 120 Hz is perfect for use, it less more battery and eventually, it lasts for two days only.

In terms of the screen’s quality, it’s sharp and boasts vibrant colors. However, on extremely sunny days, visibility can be a bit challenging. It reaches a decent level of brightness, but you might find yourself squinting occasionally. So, the Asus Zenphone 10’s display offers a satisfying visual experience overall.

Software and chipset:

(Quality performance in mini size)

The Asus Zephone 10 is a powerhouse, just like other Asus devices. It comes with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, along with up to 12GB of RAM, and almost 512GB of super-fast UFS 4.0 storage. Despite its compact size, it’s a top-tier performer and gives no complaints.

Out of the box, it operates in standard performance mode, which, like most Snapdragon-powered devices, doesn’t utilize the full potential of the chipset. However, you can customize it to full performance mode. When setting up your Asus Zephone 10 or Zenphone 10, you’ll have the option to select from two distinct modes: “Stock Android” or “Asus Optimized.” These choices impact the appearance of your notifications, the layout of your volume panel, and the design of your power menu. Simply pick the mode that suits your preferences during the device setup process.

You can either opt for the stock Android style, which mimics the Google Pixel notifications, or you can embrace the Asus Zenfone 10 approach. The Asus Zenphone 10 replicates the older Android versions, offering a setup that displays more quick tiles and notifications simultaneously, providing a unique twist to your notification experience.

What’s even more exciting about the Zenphone 10 is the improved commitment to software updates from ASUS. ASUS phones have a reputation for receiving minimal updates, but the Zenphone 10 breaks the mold. You can now count on getting two Android upgrades and four years of security patches with this phone.

Camera quality:

When it comes to compact phones like the Asus Zenphone 10, there are often trade-offs to be made due to their smaller size. One area where these compromises are especially noticeable is in the camera department. However, the Zenphone 10 breaks the mold in this regard. Asus Zenphone 10 flagship features its mini-series with;

  • Two rear cameras, featuring a remarkable 50MP main sensor along with a state-of-the-art 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 2.0.
  • Moreover, it has a 13MP wide-angle lens that boasts a quality 120-degree field of view.

The front camera of Zenphone 10 is also not disappointing us, sporting a 32MP RGBW sensor that perfectly combines pixels to create an excellent 8MP final image.

Apart from the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and speedy memory, what sets this phone apart is its remarkable stabilization system. This innovative technology utilizes a 6-axis gimbal stabilizer and Adaptive EIS, which seamlessly combines three different field-of-view perspectives to create exceptionally smooth videos. The result? Your videos and photos stay rock-steady, even in challenging conditions. This phone is indeed the most compact but still powerful phone on the market, delivering clear photos and shake-free video thanks to its advanced stabilization capabilities.

Battery:

The ASUS Zenfone 10 stands out among its popular counterparts, the Galaxy S23 and the iPhone 14, for one significant reason: its robust 4,300mAh battery. This means you can expect similar or even better battery life compared to these two competing phones. Naturally, accommodating this powerful battery does make the Zenfone 10 slightly thicker and a tad heavier.

In our tests, we found that the Zenfone 10’s battery easily lasted an entire day even with moderate use, leaving you with some extra charge to spare. And if you do find yourself running low on power, don’t worry – the phone’s 30W wired charging ensures it won’t take an eternity to recharge. Plus, it supports wireless charging at a standard 15W speed for added convenience.
